I have to walk away from the house. He is unwilling to let us take possession because his wife and attorney are telling him that it isn't how things are usually done...Well you dont put a house on the market that you can't deliver on. I told Dana the realtor that she can tell them that I want money for the gutters and for the fee Im going to get charged by the bank...about $800. I will get my earnest money back she said. I forgot I paid a chunk for the house inspection. I told her the seller could pay the money and I will walk away OR if he doesn't I will come after him with a lawyer (which will include the money, court costs AND mental anguish) So now we have to find a place to live or face another yeah bunkered here (which is completely unacceptable) I set the plants out these past few days to get good sun and strengthen up a bit. I have dragged my planters out and acquired some good potting soil. I don't know what else to do, I have failed.

I'm so sorry, I know how disappointing, sad, and disheartening it can be when these things happen. We had a weird real estate deal go wrong last year. In the end it was good for us because the market has gotten softer and we can afford more house for the same money here. I hope something like that happens for you. We took a break because we needed it and just now are getting back into the search with more money saved too. I'm trying to say that I hope good things come from this for you. I'll be thinking of you and sending hugs your way.
You haven't failed. You've just had a setback. Sh*t happens. This won't be your first homestead disapointment, trust me. You'll get through it. "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger", my mama always says. :)
Things will get better. This house was not meant to be --probably, for a reason. You'll find your homestaead, when you least expect it. Hang in there!
Walking away with a lesson is not failure. You are walking away with more experience and knowledge that may come in very handy for the future. Fate has such odd ways, until you look back at the trail.
I am so sorry about the hassle you have had with this place. Fate may have something better in store for you guys (I know that is not comforting and I wish there was an easier way to ease the heartache...)
